Plasma / Gas Oxynitriding

What is Oxynitriding?

Oxynitriding is an environmentally friendly surface treatment that offers a cleaner alternative to traditional plating processes used for corrosion protection.
After a standard plasma or gas nitriding process, the part undergoes a steam oxidation treatment, which forms a protective Fe₃O₄ (magnetite) oxide layer on the surface. This process is widely applied to components where corrosion resistance and appearance are critical—offering enhanced performance without hazardous emissions.

Key Advantages of Oxynitriding

Superior Corrosion Resistance : Provides excellent corrosion protection in addition to the traditional benefits of nitriding—such as wear resistance, fatigue strength, and anti-galling properties.
